Juliana Huxtable

Juliana Huxtable is a multi-disciplinary artist, DJ, writer and co-founder of the New York nightlife initiative Shock Value. Her work focuses on social questions of gender, race and identity. She uses a variety of mediums to explore these issues, including self-portraiture, text-based prints, music and performance.

Born intersex, Huxtable grew up in Bryan-College Station, Texas where she experienced overt racism, transphobia and misogyny. Her work orbits themes of alternate histories, deviant futures and fluidity in identities and power structures.

Model Oslo Grace is a non-binary trans woman who has appeared in Playboy’s Art Issue. She’s a top model who walked the runway for Marc Jacobs and Diesel.

Jamie Clayton

American actress Jamie Clayton is a transgender woman and she has always been proud of it. She has starred in several roles, including Nomi Marks in Netflix’s Sense8 and Sasha Booker in the third season of Designated Survivor. She is also known for her recurring role in the HBO series Hung.

She grew up as a male and underwent compilation surgery in 2003. She is a big advocate for the LGBTQ community and supports people who are afraid to open up about their gender identities.

She has a strong Instagram account and she posts powerful messages. She is a great role model for the transgender community.

Valentina Sampaio

A Brazilian supermodel and activist, Sampaio is a sexy star who believes that beauty is something that transcends the body. Her Instagram is a mix of glamorous fashion shoots and runway photos and tropical getaways.

She’s walked both male and female shows for designers such as Jean Paul Gaultier, and was featured in a campaign for Skunk. She also spoke on her experience as a trans model in the latest episode of VS Voices.

In 2019, she made history by becoming the first transgender model to be cast in Victoria’s Secret’s Pink line and Vogue Paris. She’s also walked New York and Miami fashion weeks.

Isis King

Isis King is one of the most well-known transgender women on television. She competed on the first cycle of ANTM in 2008 and returned for an All-Stars edition, making her one of the most visible transgender women ever to appear on television.

Since then, she has appeared in magazines like Us Weekly and Seventeen, and became American Apparel’s first transgender spokesperson. She also had gender reassignment surgery and now has her own fashion line.

Now, she’s focusing on acting. She’s set to star as Sol Perez in Prime Video’s upcoming romcom With Love (2021). This trailblazer has done it all!

Teddy Quinlivan

Theodora “Teddy” Quinlivan has already walked runways for the likes of Coach and Oscar de la Renta. She’s also worked on beauty campaigns for Milk Makeup and Maison Margiela fragrances.

But this latest gig — Chanel’s first openly transgender beauty campaign — is her biggest yet. The model posted a video and image of her ad to Instagram, along with a touching message about the significance of the moment.

Hari Nef
